Trenton Public School Video Contest to Promote Healthy Hygiene

Are you a Trenton Public School (TPS) student looking for a chance to win a cash prize? Submit a home-made video to the TPS video contest, promoting COVID-19 health and safety!

Trenton Public Schools, in partnership with Capital Health and Trenton Health Team, invites and encourages all TPS students and families to enter a district contest offering prizes for homemade videos that promote safe and healthy COVID-19 precautions including washing hands, wearing masks and social distancing. 

“We want students to turn on their creativity and help spread the message about COVID-19 safety,” said Micah Freeman, TPS Supervisor of Nurses. “Thanks to Capital Health, we can offer some great gift card prizes just in time for back-to-school shopping!” 

Who: Students and families can submit videos in four categories

  • Elementary (PreK-Grade 5) 
  • Middle School (Grades 6-8) 
  • High School (Grades 9-12)
  • Family/Household (Student grade doesn’t matter; video safely engages family members)

What: TPS COVID-19 Safety Video Contest with prizes for First Place ($100), Second Place ($75), Third Place ($50) and Honorable Mention ($25) in each category provided by Capital Health 

When: Contest opens NOON Saturday August 1; Deadline to enter is Noon Friday, Aug 14, 2020

Winners will be selected by local judges including professional basketball player and youth mentor La’Keisha Sutton (aka Fan Favorite), TCHS seniors and TikTok celebrities the SplashTwinz Treona and Trechelle, Greater Trenton Vice President of Marketing & Communications Bryan Evans, and North Ward District 5 Committeewoman and TCHS Finance Teacher Crystal Feliciano.

“We can’t wait to see what Trenton students create,” said THT Executive Director Gregory Paulson. “We appreciate their help sharing these important health messages.”

This unique video contest which will promote and bring awareness to the practice of healthy actions against COVID-19, will not only award individuals with great prizes, it will engage the Trenton community and bring residents together to encourage the importance of health and wellness.
