In 2019 the Malcolm Bernard Career and College Prep program was initiated to create greater access to college for diverse students. College readiness workshops, forums and activities were designed to increase the level of understanding of the tools and skills necessary to pursue a college degree for students, parents and guardians. A major goal of this program is for students to apply to colleges, get accepted and graduate with a minimal amount of student debt. The program emphasizes financial literacy, college search, application process, career exploration and life skills.
