Mercer County Shares Available Resources During Disability Awareness Month

October is Disability Awareness month. The Trenton Local Office of Vocational Rehabilitation Services and NJDVRS Business Outreach Team will be partnering with each other to highlight the wide-range of services Mercer County offers to its residence with disabilities.

Through a series of virtual sessions, a variety of stakeholders and speakers from different organizations throughout the county will present information in regards to the services they offer the community as well as their plans for operating amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Each speaker will have 20 minutes to explain their available resources and current protocols.

To continue emphasizing the opportunities and services available, the Trenton Local Office of Vocational Rehabilitation Services and NJDVRS Business Outreach Team will also be holding another virtual event in November. This event will be called the Disability Awareness Resource Fair.

During this free forum, the organizations will have another opportunity to present their available resources to the public in further detail. Those involved are hoping to accumulate a large amount of public participants that are eager to learn about information and resources available to them.

As the event continues to be finalized, a proposed date has yet to be released.
