The Capital Singers of Trenton is Recruiting!

The Capital Singers of Trenton (CST) is officially recruiting new members for their 15th season, which will begin in January of 2021.

On Sunday, January 10 at 4:00 p.m., the CST will be hosting a “Bring A Friend to Zoom” rehearsal to chime in the new year. Singers interested in joining this community organization are encouraged to visit: https://www.capitalsingers.org/connect

In 2020 the Capital Singers of Trenton had to reinvent their instruction methods due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With socially distant learning and some well-thought-out adaptations, the group was still able to have a successful year.

The CST performed in a mix of small, socially distant groups that were recorded separately and online with singers safely at home. Through this method, the CST was able to host a variety of virtual lessons and carol concerts including its ‘Winter Songs XIV: Lessons and Carol’ show that was held on December 6. Audiences watched from as far away as Alaska and Venice, Italy.

In the upcoming 2021 season, the CST is planning to continue adapting their performances and ensemble meetings to the current state of public health. However, as the pandemic brings uncertainty into the new year, the CST hopes the community can meet together again, and hopefully, rehearse and practice back at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Trenton.

“We look forward to seeing you in the concert hall – virtually and hopefully live in 2021! Until then, continue to be well and be safe,” said CST Artistic Director and Conductor Vinroy D. Brown Jr. in a happy holidays Facebook statement on December 25.
