The purpose of this study is to determine the market potential and optimum market position for
newly-introduced housing units that could be developed within the Downtown Trenton Study Area,
City of Trenton, Mercer County, New Jersey. The optimum market position has been derived from:
the housing preferences, financial capacities, and lifestyle characteristics of the target households; the
Study Area’s location, visibility and physical attributes; the rental and for-sale housing market
context in the Downtown Trenton market area; and Zimmerman/Volk Associates’ extensive
experience with urban development and redevelopment.
